Another day at the office folks!

soooooooo fed up...........

That is the way I feel at the moment. Thank god for the children. They are my sanity even though Alyssia is noisey. I wish I had a magic wand to take me somewhere ...... a nice happy place, stressfree, study free, work free..........me and the children happy and content. It sounds really bad I know. This isnt like me at all. Do I need help! Maybe or maybe not I just dont know  though I do really. I think I have the answers but am I strong enough to put them into action!!!

not too well...........

The bugs my daughters had last have been lovingly passed on to myself. Feeling not to clever at the beginning of the week I put this down to night duty and study and rushing around. This morning at 2.30a.m. I had my head down the loo and not being over graphic was vomming for england. By about 430a.m. feeling sorry for myself climbed back into bed rather weak. I had taken something for my poor stomach to no avail. I couldnt even lie flat so propped myself up on pillows. The children have been off today as teachers were on strike so nipped to tesco and managed to do that without vomming. Charlotte had warned me not to show her up by throwing up in the shop.

Should be back on nights tonight and tomorrow but had gone off sick. Nursing my poorly tum, may loose a few pounds in the process. I think I have an alien inside my tum as the noises  are bad.Hope I dont have a repeat performance tonight....................

completed at last.........

Just this minute completed hopefully what will be my last assignment whilst lyssy watches dvds......not well again! Docs later on.

This latest assignment we had a choice of written assignment, project or poster. I chose to do a poster on ill affects of smoking. It looks quite good even if I do say so myself, even took a photo of it how sad is that!!. Myself and 3 others have been given the chance to attend a conference about infection control and some consultants we work with are going to be speaking. Sounds a bit boring but we get free coffee and free lunch and its at The Hilton in sheffield. But we have been told by tutors that information gained from this will be good for our course. Only thing is got to go on day off, never mind.

Start my nights tomorrow so going to take my revision notes in and if quiet try and gain some knowledge for next weeks mini exam. Gonna chill I think tonight shepherds pie made this morning while sticking things onto poster, so not much to do this evening hopefully.

So disappointed.......

My week has ended up not so nice as today an elderly couple were really very unpleasant and nasty to myself and Alyssia. I have always had  respect for my elders but today  it has left me wondering why can people be so nasty.
We went shopping and this elderly couple tried parking their car next to mine but it wasnt a parking space and he nearly bumped into me. I rolled down my window and told him politly to be careful. At that point he snarled that if I moved back a little he could squeeze in. On that unpleasant remark I said abruptly Im going nowhere if you use that tone with me! Im not normally like this but he pushed buttons that got me quite angry. I thought oh they are old so I will do the nice thing and move back a little so I did and got out and ignored them. Me and Alyssia went in to do our shopping but these people followed and were right behind me. In the shop he nearly knocked Alyssia over with his trolley so I remarked how stupid he was. Then later the old woman came up to us and said my little girl was nasty and obviously had not been brought up properly......I saw red!! I told her to shut her mouth she was a stranger and my children dont acknowledge strange people and told her to go away, people were looking and must have thought she was horrible. I dont know these people so why were they so intolerant. I couldnt wait to get out of that shop. It has put a bad taste in my mouth and have seen a side to the elderly that I dont like at all. They talk about young ones not having any respect for the elderly well pot and kettle spring to mind. I wrote a note when back in my car to him saying how awful I thought their attitude was and put it on their windscreen. I hope this gives tem food for thought........but probably not. What a sad world we live in. Now back to study.   

And the result is..............

I passed my exam with flying colours YIPPEE handed in my assignment and now gotta revise the heart and its workings and other stuff for next week!!! One more exam one more assignment and one presentation to do.........then 1 course down 2 more to complete for september!!!!My head is spinning.........early shift tomorrow so byeeeeeeeeeeeee

family time

Saturday morning I finished my extra stint of night duty. Unfortunately havent been able to take any hols since the children have had easter holidays so I only had 2 hrs kip on saturday then got up to take Charlotte to her little job which she finished at 4 then important family time started. We all got ready and went to sheffield cineworld to watch The Spiderwick Chronicles amazing. I thought with the lack of snooze time I would fall asleep but the film was fab. Alyssia wasnt too scared either probably due to the fact that her wobbly tooth became so much more as she twiddled with it through the whole film.

Afterwards we left then all of a sudden Alyssias tooth came out in her fingers with the ever so slightest of blood, so as I was exclaiming somewhat loudly what a brave girl she was and the tooth fairy would come that night, I forgot where I was briefly and stood up to find folks looking at me oddly.......stuff em!!! My last little girlsfirst tooth has fallen out!!! Big Event in my book.

We decided to call in for pizza on the way home. The first pizza shop we sometimes go to hadsome drunk men in and one was not very nice at all. He got a bit lary and was arguementative with the assistant and grabbed the tomato sauce bottle which was one of those squeezy thingys. It went everywhere in the shop andLee got covered haha,I shouldnt laugh as I was a bit un-nerved and left the shop without ordering. The next shop was nice quiet with no nasty drunk men and it still was only 8p.m. Pizza and calzone ordered with free bottle of cola lush.

What a night but important family time was spent. Ant the tooth fairy gave £2 to Alyssia WOW. Today has been sunny and Lee hascut the grass, Alyssia thinks its 95 degrees and has had one of her little summer dresses on and Charlotte has just come back from her little shift at the pub stinking of food. Ive been studying again in between cooking a roast chicken dinner and it was very nice too then jam sponge and custard.

Having a well deserved splash in tub then nice glass of wine and study again till about 8p.m. Im early shift tomorrow and big exam tuesday GOD. Im not that religious now tho I was, but might say a little prayer tonight, just to help with the exam. On that note High School Musical is on andthe kids are singing along to it, Alyssia should be on the stage I think.

easter hols again.............

And more chocolate!! Went up to see my fab family and good friends at the weekend. Had a lush meal at the local NBTS Indian restuarant for FLBs birthday and Alyssia made use of all his friends enjoying the attention and all the wonderful food. Then back to FLBs hoose for dessert coffees and alcohol. Good chat with all took place.
Sunday morning picked up mum and went to see dad. Not so good,  he was tired as always and wouldnt let staff shave him. I went into nurse mode and took him off to his bedroom as we always do for private family time. I explained to him that I was going to shave him as he looked scruffy. He let me do this and I was pleased to do something for him. I washed his specs then put them on him and he looked like dad. Then promptly dozed off again. At least we were there I suppose.
We left said our goodbyes and met Victoria at The General Havlock for a lovely roast lunch which we didnt really eat and the chef was really worried and expressed this by sending out the waitress asking why we hadnt eaten our food.  The food was indeed lovely but I think emotions had taken over by dad and we just lost our apetite. Will go there again tho.
Me, Victoria and my other girlies sat at the church point catching up on all the gossip just like old times and making arrangments for summer, Victoria looked great.
The journey back was dreadful snow sleet rain sun and more sleet then vommit!! Alyssia decided to do this a mile up the road after consuming a lush macdonalds then juice and icecream, at leeming. All over back seat of car and dvd player. It still works.
An eventful 24 hrs not long enough and now back to reality  study, revision and assignment deadlines to meet. Hey ho and life goes on I suppose...........

Yes im not blogging as much as too much homework, assignments and now starting medical sciences......groan! Why did I ever start this course I wonder.
First assignment passed with flying colours and second submitted this tuesday, I shall wait with a heavy heart and see what the result will be. The next assignment is to be given when I hand this one in. Just a 5 to 6000 word one, they are getting bigger by the month. My house is a shed, have no time for housework bearly have time to bake or cook or sleep for that matter. Stress levels are so high im doing really silly things and to top it all off at work and I still have to fit that in we have moved into our multi million pound state of the art building and keep getting lost!
Was up till 2 this morning writing, but not tonight, having an early one, about 10 I think, tho whilst typing this for R im revising for my exam on tuesday, organs of the body. Gotta go revision is shouting for me. See you soon R and I at the birthday bash and we will have a proper catch up.

having a lazy day

Unlike my FLB I am not having bad horrid dreams, infact it is the opposite as im trying to sleep and cant what with assignments and lyssy being unwell. Valentines night was a bit surreal i spent it not with my husband but downstairs on the settee with lyssy trying to calm her ...........another ear infection, last one she had was xmas day in hospital. 4a.m. I managed to nod off so still catching up on sleep. She is alot better which is a good job as we have a christening tomorrow. Poor Charlotte is at work, I dropped her off at 3p.m. Apparently one of the chefs is a bit of an arse and was nasty to her the other night, obviously he doesnt realise who he is messing with, I will have his balls on a plate if he upsets her again. Now im bored tapping away on my laptop cant do assignment as wont be able to concentrate with lee and lyssy in the house, i need quietness so i will commence monday. I am in the process of cooking a lush pork dinner yorkshire pudds home made apple sauce, the works. Charl will have hers when she gets in. thats enough for now cant really be bothered to say much more. Have a nice evening to all xx
